India Shines Bright with Five Golds: Asian Games 2023 Day 4 Highlights

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, India is celebrating a stunning performance at the Asian Games 2023 on Day 4. The country has surged up the medal tally, clinching a total of six medals so far. The morning began with a golden touch from our shooters, bringing India’s gold medal count to an impressive five.

In the 50m rifle 3-position event, Sift Kaur Samra achieved an astounding feat by securing a world record score of 469.6, claiming the gold medal. Meanwhile, another Indian shooter, Ashi Chouksey, showcased her talent and earned a well-deserved bronze medal in the same event.

Adding to the glory, the trio of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Rhythm Sangwan secured the gold medal in the women’s 25m pistol team event. Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh are also competing in the individual event. Notably, the men’s skeet team also contributed to India’s success by winning a bronze medal.

Sailing added another bronze to India’s growing medal collection, thanks to Vishnu Saravanan’s outstanding performance.

The day’s achievements in shooting include Sift Kaur Samra’s remarkable victory in the women’s 50m rifle 3p individual event, setting a new World Record with a score of 469.6. This achievement surpasses the previous record set by Seonaid McIntosh of Great Britain in May of the same year.
